Cacerola de Tostadas Francesas con Calabaza, suena como algo golosamente delicioso ¿verdad? ya que estamos en acción de gracias quise compartir contigo esta receta de temporada para endulzarnos el desayuno, yo soy amante de las tostadas francesas o pan francés como le dicen aca en Mexico y esta receta me encanta porque la puedes hacer super rápido, no te tienes que preocupar mucho porque no se rompan queden perfectas y puedes combinar tu cacerola de tostadas francesas con la fruta que mas te guste, yo usé calabaza por la temporada y la fecha, sabes algo rico de desayuno para ese día tan especial de dar gracias.

Creo que el mejor truco de esta receta es que no tiene truco, es tan simple que hasta mi esposo que no sabe nada de cocina la puede hacer, jaja me va a matar en lo que lea esto, pero si es muy sencilla y te va a quedar deli. Yo usé pan de caja, pero un pan de caja gruesisimo que venden aca en el super, tu puedes usar brioche que seria lo ideal o pan del que tengas y si es de un día antes mejor porque está durito y puedes aprovecharlo y así no termina en el bote de basura.

Una receta con calor de hogar para estas fiestas de acción de gracias, cacerola de tostadas francesas con Calabaza.

Ingredientes
  • ¼ cdta Clavo de olor
  • ¼ cdta Jengibre
  • ¼ cdta Nuez moscada
  • ⅛ cdta Cardamomo
  • 2 cda Canela
  • 3 Huevos
  • Especias al gusto
  • ½ cdta Polvo de Hornear
  • 1 pizca de Sal
  • 1 cda Pasta de Vainilla
  • ½ taza pure de calabaza
  • ½ taza Jarabe de maple
  • 1 taza de Leche
  • ¼ taza de Nueces
  • 2 cdas de Mantequilla
Instrucciones
  1. Precalentar el horno a 180ºC.
  2. En un bol mezcla todas las especias, si no tienes alguna de ellas o no te gustan, no te preocupes puedes omitirla.
  3. Seguidamente coloca en un bol grande, los huevos, las especias, el polvo de hornear, la sal y la pasta de vainilla, si no tienes pasta de vainilla chokolat pimienta puedes sustituirla con esencia, pero ponle un poquito más de una cucharada para que iguale el sabor, por último añade el puré de calabaza, el maple para endulzar y la leche.
  4. Vierte esta mezcla sobre rebanadas de pan cortado en cubos, si el pan es del día anterior mejor, porque absorberá mucho más líquido.
  5. Coloca un poco de mantequilla por encima, un poquito mas de maple para que encuentres, sitios crocantes y dulceros y ponle muchas nueces para añadir otro nivel de texturas y listo, lleva al horno por 25 minutos o hasta que veas que esta dorada y el líquido se ha cuajado.
  6. Retira del horno con mucho cuidado y disfruta si bien caliente.

Si quieres agregarle un poco mas de azúcar hazlo, yo no quise que estuvieran muy dulces, pero estoy segura que si le espolvoreamos azúcar las por encima, así calentita y te la comes aun tibia, me escribirás para darme un abrazo virtual, porque de verdad queda muy rica y te lo digo yo que no soy amante de las calabazas, pero esta cacerola de tostadas francesas con calabaza, me ha dejado completamente sorprendida.

French toast pot with pumpkin, it sounds like something gloriously delicious, doesn’t it? and since it’s thanksgiving week, I wanted to share with you this seasonal recipe to sweeten our breakfasts, I love french toast and I love this recipe  because you can finish it really quick, you don’t have to worry much over the toast being perfect, and you can combine it with the fruit of your choice, I used pumpkin because it’s in season. this is a special recipe for this special day of thanks giving.

I believe that this recipe’s best trick is that it doesn’t have one, it is so simple that even my husband that doesn’t know how to cook can make it, hahaha, he is going to kill me when he reads this, but it is very simple and it will be very delicious. I used box bread super thick that you can find on the super, you can also use brioche, that would be ideal, or any bread you have, and if it is from yesterday, even better because it will be a little harder and you can use that and not throw it to the garbage.

French Toast Pot with Pumpkin

A homemade recipe for this thanksgiving holiday, French toast pot with Pumpkin.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 tsp Clove
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp Cardamom
  • 2 tins Cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • Spices to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla paste
  • 1/2 cup pure pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup of Milk
  • 1/4 cup of nuts
  • 2 tbs of Butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  2. In a bowl mix all the spices, if you do not have any of them or do not like them, do not worry you can skip this step.
  3. Place in a large bowl the eggs, spices, baking powder, salt and vanilla paste, if you do not have the Chokolat pimienta vanilla paste, you can replace it with essence, but put a little more than a tablespoon to equal The flavor, finally add the pumpkin puree, maple to sweeten and milk.
  4. Pour this mixture over slices of bread cut into cubes, if the bread is from the previous day , that’s even better, because it will absorb much more liquid.
  5. Place a little butter on top, a little more maple, that way you’ll find crunchy and sweet places and put many nuts to add another level of textures and done, take it to the oven for 25 minutes or until you see that it is golden and the liquid Has settled.
  6. Remove from the oven very carefully and enjoy while hot.

If you want to add more sugar, do it, I don’t like them really sweet, but I’m sure that if you sprinkle sugar on top, when still warm and eat them like that You’ll write me to send me a virtual hug, because it will be really yummy and it comes from me, and I don’t love pumpkins, but this french toast pot with pumpkin has left me completely amazed.
